P2P: when to release

You're selling 100 USDT

A buyer is matched and your 100 USDT is locked in Mavunta escrow. The buyer must pay you KES 13,000. You release the crypto only when you are sure the money arrived. Keep these rules in mind:

  • Keep every trade and chat on Mavunta. Never move a deal off platform.
  • Only release crypto after you confirm the payment arrived in your account.
  • A screenshot is not proof of payment.
  • If a counterparty pressures you to release early, open a dispute instead.
